Established in 1997, OCFM (originally the Ottawa Centre for Family and Community Mediation) was created to serve residents of Eastern Ontario with affordable family mediation and consultation services. Our mediators are highly skilled and experienced professionals who work with families either in private or court-connected contexts. All OCFM mediators hold AccFM(OAFM) status. OCFM actively promotes and encourages healthy and productive inter-personal communication wherever possible. We specialize in separation and divorce issues, particularly where children are involved. We place a specific emphasis on working with parents to reduce the potential negative impacts on children experiencing a change in the family structure.
